Keep Christ in Christmas

By:  Bruce Patrick

Christmas is the season of joy, fun times with family and friends, giving and receiving gifts in pretty bright wrappings.  Christmas time to travel home; enjoy large amounts of great food.

Please let me tell you about my savior Jesus Christ.  He is why we have this great season of love, fellowship and giving.  At Christmas we celebrate his birth, as he took the form of a human to come to earth to save our souls.  He showed his love for us as he healed the sick and taught us how we should all live.  He taught his disciples and they reported his teachings to us in the form of our present day Bible.  His power to love everyone and to save our souls has endured through these thousands of years.  For you see he paid the ultimate price for each of our sins.  He gave us the greatest present of all time.  He gave his life in a very horrible death to save everyone’s soul.  He saved us from the torment of an everlasting hell.  This gift from him to you is free; all that you and I have to do is believe his teachings.  And try to live as he taught us.

Please help keep Christ in Christmas.  After all it is his birthday that we are celebrating and we should honor him in this season.  If you do not know my Jesus Christ as your savior, I hope that you will accept him during this joyful season.

I am one of the volunteers that make up the South Lamar Rescue Squad.  In the back of that ambulance we often see people at deaths door.  In a matter of a few seconds a person is alive and here then they are gone beyond our worldly help.  Our chance for peace and happiness with Christ is while we are alive.  Christ is all grace and loving but if you decide not to accept him as your savior, you are doomed after you pass through death.  He is truth and just and the chance for forgiveness is only while you are alive.

Just How Important Is Christ?

Our nation often tends to forget where we came from.

Christ is there for you all of the year, he will fill you with grace and love if you will let him.  Merry Christmas now and all through the year, share his love with others.
